WR John Scroggins

a good sized 6-4, 205 4.53 Receiver from Wilmer Hutchins has committed to Minnisota("for now") but in the next sentence says he will continue to take some quality trips to SMU, Tech and Purdue. SMU has offered. This maybe an example which you will see more and more in the next few weeks of players committing to insure a scholarship but hoping for something better. Teams are slotting their last few remaining scholarships and they will be awarded based on need and quality. I believe he will be at SMU this weekend. Wonder if this guy has the build to be a TE. He benches 285 squats 430 verical 34. 23 catches for 318 yards and 4 TDs. Also @nd Team All Conference in Basketball. SAT rather low at 870. 3.2 GPA.

Shame to lose this guy. Sounds like an ideal combination of size and pretty good (if not exceptional) speed.
