I know we are 36.5 point underdogs but if we are going to go out, go out with a bang. I would just love it if someone just cranked Crabtree to the ground on a play across the middle...penalty or not. Set a tone early, whether we keep it or not is another story. Go down in a blaze of hard hits and busted chins! Go Ponies.

Play hard and limit turnovers. IF SMU played with discipline and not turn the ball over, then this could be in a close game that we could win. Eliminate stupid mistakes and turnovers and play hard aggressive physical football and SMU has a chance to win. Our issues have been turnovers, stupid mistakes and lackadaisical tackling. Eliminate these three and we can win anywhere anytime.

I would lay off Crabtree. He has a hard enough time making it to class with an escort or so inside sources tell me.

This is his last season at TT so I'm sure he will play very well.

Bust his chops on every play. If he is blocking have another DB come lay a hit on him. If the pass goes away from him - Hit him anyway.

How about a full blitz and HIT Harrell. Hard. Even if we give up a play.
Leave 3 back to cover and bring the rest.

Do it once or twice early and get a lick in.

NO MISTAKES.

I wish I were so optimistic. Last weekend we did all you said except tackling. The result was a 47-36 victory over an "FCS" team and that included 5 turnovers to none and a 3 point swing on an exta point attempt returned for 2 points.

The offense can, and I expect will continue to get better but the defense, who knows this season.

They say if you win 2 out of three phases of the game you will probably win the game. In that case I say, come on special teams. Of course you must make a stop on D to involve the punt return squad.

If I were y'all, I would be happy leaving the Jones with less than a 50 point loss.
