it stopped raining yesterday morning about 4 am. It was miserable here all day yesterday. Definetely made me wonder why the hell I came a whole day earlier

Traveling to Lubbock to see rain is like traveling to a Third World Country to see a total eclipse of the Sun. One has to go to crummy places to see rare natural events sometimes.
