Did this really suprise you? I knew he would keep going for it, that's just the kind of a-hole he is.

HB Pony Dad: A couple of years ago, Leach had the game in the bag with a decisive lead and with less than :20 on the clock and the ball within SMU's 5 yd. line, he tried to score another TD. The Mustangs D stopped 'em (similar to tonight!) and at the end of the game SMU head coach Phil Bennett confronted Leach at midfield at Ford about it and almost came to blows over it.
Leach has always said - and will continue to say - something similar to this: "If you don't want us to score, it's your job to stop us." Taking a knee with the game 'in the bag' is not in Leach's vocabulary or playbook.
I will never be a Mike Leach fan.

My wife did say during the game "When did Vince Gill put on so much weight?"

Leach must never buy a meal in Lubbock. He needs to hit the treadmill.

Anybody else hear Leach's post-game interview where he said that Tech "really deserved to win in a shutout"?

man I hope one day we are in a position to be classless. These types of threads are the refuge for loser programs who find some solace in screaming "they were mean to me!"

He is still classless...regardless of our whining.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Yeah, God forbid a team try their hardest for the WHOLE game against an "inferior" opponent...with our backups. This is football, not softball.
No one said a thing when we beat Nebraska 70-10 because they're...well, Nebraska.

Texas Tech is a secondary profile school that has hopes for a BCS bid. I really don't see a problem with Tech trying to score with the running game. In contrast I thought running the hurry-up offense was pretty bush a few years ago. Its stupid to whine about a passing team trying to run it in in the normal course of their offense. Don't whine get even.

Stallion:
I agree with this premise of your statement, and corrected myself in a previous post after I saw he was running the ball. But after they were stopped, and there were 20 seconds left, the clock running and well within the 40 second clock, class does not run another play. Class means you start walking across the field to shake hands. Very similar to what Jones did against TSU. Seems kind of insignificant, but the guy is an [deleted]. He may be a good coach, his team is better than ours, they won fair and square and the score should have been worse, but the guy is an [deleted].
And, secondary profile or not, the go to the BCS if they win their conference. They do not need points to get there, just wins.
