Michigan apparently very weak this year - and Ohio State dismantled by USC. The lack of quality in Big 10 football exposed again??

Not as weak as the Pac10. Pac10 lost 4 games to the mtn west, 2 games to the big12 and 1 game to the acc.

OSU has been very much overrated for 3 years now. One wonders how far they will fall in the rankings, 6...7...? ND once lost its first two games of the year and actually moved up in the rankings! It will be interesting to see how those that vote in the rankings handle this obvious mistake in OSU being #2.

It was a rough week for the Pac 10, but they are still stronger than the big 10 and ACC. Mtn west has some quality teams. Stallion can attest to that.

three worst conferences by inverse rank, worst being 1:

3...Pac 10 (still have USC which cleans up better than anyone)

2...ACC (overrated and over-matched in just about every non-con they have played...although UNC game me something to watch this weekend)

1...Big 11 *cough* excuse me 10 (if the last 4 year have been any indication only Bristol plays these guys up to be good and every year thus far they have proved otherwise in their play)

The most underrated without a doubt is the Moutain West. Probably because no body ever gets to see them play.

Hopefully ASU won't get embarrassed next week in Tempe. Maybe they can save face and make it a game against UGA.

the top half of the mwc is decent, but the bottom half is frighteningly bad

New Mexico beat Arizona

Not bad for down conference performance.

don't look now, but the MWC is doing exactly what TCU hoped when they joined...too bad nobody is watching.

the Sagarin ratings aren't out but MWC is probably going to be nipping at the heels of some BCS conferences.
