Nice point East Stang. We can all agree on that point.

Here's one for all of the Bo Levi critics out there:

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

justin willis might be our best QB right now, but I don't think he could operate the run and shoot better then bo levi. bo levi has a huge upside, but how can he reach it without the reps. we've seen flashes, so support the guy and hope he reaches his potential. did you really think this team was going anywhere this year? 13 freshman starters...

Against d 1 teams Bo is 3 td 8 int. Logan is 2td 0 int. Logan had a huge td pass right on the money to Robinson dropped ( i have never seen bo be on the money on a deep ball , the only ones he did complete the receiver had to come back) and a few of logans other passes were dropped. i think we need to see more logan. Also i thought the tech game would have been a perfect time to put in J will and see how he does...

the interception that went through ES's hands wasn't BLM's fault (except that he threw it hard to a guy who was 15 yards away) so that's at least one of five

Actually he led Sanders way too much on that pass. It was not well thrown.

Sanders if one of my favorites but he dropped 2 or 3 passes against Tech he should have had. Even my son who is 8 said "what is wrong with him tonight" as we watched the game. Robinson also has had drops in both games.

It is not all the QB. He's not been great and thrown some bad passes but any QB, especially a freshman, is going to need help from his receivers. We need all our guys to play better. A couple of drops were on 3rd down in these games which don't help either.

As for the perfect time to see Jwill, there won't be one, no matter what the score at Tech or any time else. At this point, the risk is that he might somehow have success, not that he might fail.

I'll repeat a comment I made yesterday on a different thread.

If Coach was going to throw BLM to the wolves to see how it went, the Tech game was the one to do it. Tech is ranked in top 10 or 11 depending on the poll. SMU is in the bottom 10 or 11. It could have been better, yes. However, it could have been a lot worse.

Since we know we aren't in contention for Top 20 this year, and we are just hoping for a bowl game for Christmas, let's let the guys, BLM included, have another week before we start burning Jones or BLM in effigy.

For all their vaunted defense, TCU is not Tech. SMU can take them.

I love the dropped passes argument...

Tech Game: sanders 2-3 dropped passes = 5 interceptions
Season: sanders 5-8 dropped passes = 8 interceptions

I do not think that there is bashing of BLM as much as questioning the fact the he is being put in the position he is. If we had no alternatives then I do not think you would be hearing such a discussion.

Actually, this is more of a critique of JJ's selection of QB. It is a proxy discussion of that decision.

Do we trust JJ to right the ship? I do, but it sure looks like another "rebuilding" year to get there. BLM is not the next coming of a lot of UH QBs yet and maybe never, but JJ should get it done, eventually.

This is clearly no immediate turnaround like at Hawaii.

I think we have to be honest about this and all agree that JJ is a better judge of qb's than any of us; however, BLM has been too impatient trying to make plays and has thrown too many interceptions. Jones is trying to coach him through it and that's why he's reluctant to make a change though he has given some pt to Turner and Smith. If BLM continues to not take care of the ball then Turner will get more chances it's that simple.

If BLM can stay patient then the offense is going to really start clicking b/c the kid has a big league arm. Let's hope he settles down against TCU.
