The offensive line has been terrific. Allowed just four sacks over three games, and just one holding penalty! Granted, the new offense helps both of those, but that's still a terrific job.

It is good to see the QB still standing after most pass attempts. It may be a product of the system, but still it is nice to see! 8)

Tennison sat out the Texas State game, but he played against Tech.

Keep up the good work, big guys

best o-line since ive been here. if our o-line sucked, we'd literally have no chance to win any game

Has to be at least part of the equation. What Coach McKnight has done with a very young group has been nothing short of remarkable.

I don't mean to take anything away from McKnight, but I would suggest that the system has as much to do with it as anything. 3 step drop, throw the ball. Not a lot of waiting for plays to develop and the QB has to emphasize getting the ball out early. I'm no expert in any way, but run blocking has to be a bit easier too since they are not often being asked to bulldoze people. Instead mis-direction, draw plays, and softer run defenses from the "pass first" mentality all aid our men on the line.

So if the coaching change is taking the system change (brought by the new coaches of course) into consideration, then yes... the coaching change made the difference.

so the O-line is improving but when will we see changes for the D-line. We can't expect to win when we can't get any pass rush going

The Rusty Burns spread was an option offense; they zone-blocked 90% of the time. Run/Shoot is pass always, run when you have to offense. And from my seat in the stands, this Run/Shoot is running counter draws, dives, and shuffle passes. I haven't identified a trap yet, and I have't seen them zone-block unless it was second-level on a shuffle-pass.

But then again, I tend to follow the ball, so I could be missing all kinds of stuff.

Here's to a huge game from the big boys up front.
A strong showing by them gives us a chance.
