Remember when we used to [deleted] about them?

If we had that talent again, we would run all over these teams. What were we thinking?

SMU was 3-16-3 during Ramon's first 2 years at the helm, but let's don't let those facts stand in the way of a good [deleted].

SMU has STUNK for 20 years because our athletes that have STUNK for 20 years....it is really not that complicated...Off the field, they have represented our school with much integrity and I wish them only the best.

Oh...and let's get rid of our Defensive Coordinator...

these people that blame Phil Bennett's Coaching for our problems must really feel stupid now. It didn't have a thing to do with Coaching. Phil Bennett's recruiting-well yeah. But we got the best Coach money can buy and this is perhaps the least competitive team since 1989.

Amazing. Coach Jones inherits a roster with some talent - but not nearly enough - and folks are writing off a team that has lost to two nationally ranked teams and an improved, senior-laden Rice team in the opener.

When I started my job, I was allowed a little while to learn my position and fill out a staff that could accomplish what was asked.

Too bad so many don't want to allow Coach Jones the same opportunity.

How about 1 tiny glimmer of hope a game. We can't get that.

Surely Hawaii wasn't this bad. We looked decent for about 5 minutes during the Rice game. It's gone completely backward since then and he's too stubborn to switch QB's b/c it's his guy. I would think you would make some adjustments at least to be competitive while learning the system.

People are aware of the time he needs but it's VERY frustrating to see that product on the field. As Stallion says, I'm not sure I have seen a worse fball team since '89. Thank you Phil and Copeland!!

I think he was talking about Ramon's subsequent 6 years at the helm.

Nice job, Lefty — this is the single-most lucid post on this board all season.
