I would have redshirted BLM and given him a chance to learn the speed of the game in practice.

He is being thrown to the wolves in the HOPE that he has the decision making skills to be a R&S QB.

We are throwing a season away in the HOPE that BLM will develop into a quality R&S QB.

What if he ends the season as sorry as he began?

What next, Logan Turner or Braden Smith get a turn in the barrel?

its never fun when your Frosh QB throws right to the defense and this team DOES NOT play hard. because if they did, theyd have enough pride to try and get a stop on defense

The game last night was pathetic. Our offense was worse than the TT game and our defense is trying but virtually non-existant. In addition, STUPID penalties did not help the situation. Slapping an opposing player in the head in front of an official is more than just stupid!!
JJ said that the talent here was better than his first year at Hawaii. I can not believe that. If so, why do we look so horrible?
It is not just one person (BLM), it is the entire team. How long does JJ think he can continue in this mode and have even the most loyal fans continue to support him? I seriously doubt that we will win more than one game this year.

GO PONIES!!!

Just because there is no where to go but up doesn't mean we are on the rise.

When JJ made the decision to start the season you should have known this was going to be a learning year for the players. He was not interested in trying to win now, he's building for the future of HIS team with HIS players. Nobody should expect more than 2 games this year, or even look organized on offense for the first half of the season.

I'll say it again. I guarantee we will beat UTEP - 0-3 and imploding fast.

Wish we were playing UTEP this week:

UTEP' top two running backs were out with injuries and starting quarterback Trevor Vittatoe left the game for good with an ankle injury after the third series.

I have been a season ticket holder since 1980 and a contributor to the Mustang Club every year since then and I am sadly disappointed in our performances. We can't run we can't pass we can't tackle. We sure and hell can't stop the option consistently. We just mail it in.; Ubnless we show some fire nextweek I think I will party on "vard" then go home and watch some real football. Last night I left in the middle of the 3rd quarter and got to watch the 3rd and 4th quarters of 3 very good games.

We'll still win at least three games this year. UTEP is one of them. If Cougar High plays against us like they did against Air Force, they're beatable, too. Maybe someone else (Memphis?)

It's pointless to keep saying "if Willis doesn't start at QB this week ..." He's practicing with the receivers now.

Who cares about this season? You people looking for a quick fix w/the complete lack of athletes on this team, were dreaming. We hired JJ to get us to a bowl and I'm convinced he will. That said, it's not about system it's about infusion of talent. We are slow & small, that simple. Cheer the kids on and demand results on the trail.
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

I am just happy that JW is stickin around, he could have easily packed it in and transferred (albeit sitting out a year unless its Sam Houston St), whats our chances with LT or Braden ? Its a year that coaches are going to evaluate (not necessarily lookin for some W's) to make this program successful after 20+ years of suffering. Give it time..Bobby Johnson is in his 6th year at Vandy, just now seein some results.

BLM was not the reason we lost. He did some bad things but also some good things. I actually think the team is getting better. The defense looked better in the first half, but no one is covering in the flats.
