Thought you guys sounded great, loved the cotton-eyed joe. Something very unorthodox for us, but I thought it worked. Didn't hurt having the dance girls dress like daisy duke, OMG!
Such a difference between our band and TCU's which continues to produce little or no sound year after year. They weren't even clear on their halftime routine.
As much as I have been critical, I thought some of you would like to know this.

Wow. I'm sure they're relieved.

The Band was great at halftime. They outclassed the purple hoarde...at halftime.
Is it too much to ask that the Band do something after every play?
Or play Peruna more than once after first downs? What was the count yesterday??? Couldn't have been more than 25!!!!

Thank you for your message of self esteem boost, General. I'm sure the Members of the Mustang Band will sleep well tonight knowing that you approve of their performance this week. I'm sure your scorn is the last thing that they want to incur.

Scuttlebutt is that the Athletic department is telling the band when they can and cannot play, and that this has contributed to the Band's limited playing time during the game.
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

But such stipulations don't apply to the visiting team's band?

Hasn't the athletic department always dictated this? When they have promos to show on the video board or read over the PA, surely someone is coordinating that. At basketball games, I know you can see the PA guy say whatever he's supposed to say and then nod to the Mustang Band, as if to say "Hit it." I assume that's the same at football.

I was pleased to see the band take care of changing in the stands so they don't miss as much playing time.

Unless someone is going to give the band a nice chunk of change to get jackets that match the new uniform scheme, it's not going to change. It's not as though they can just change jackets on the turn of a dime.

I know  I wasn't taking a shot at the band, just answering the previous comment (although to be fair, if they have 152 bazillion uniform combos, as advertised, you'd think they could whip up a nice charcoal-and-gray ensemble, if necessary.

If you were in your seats before kickoff you couldn't have missed them change - they started the game in long sleeve white shirts without a jacket, and at halftime had a jacket on.
