This is just a random thought, and might be a bit of a stretch but...
Anyone else have a thought that the addition of the option play out of the shotgun in the last couple of games is a precursor to Willis being brought back into the QB competition?
Willis has been very humble and said he is not going to transfer. Any chance that means that he will be given an opportunity to win the position at some point?
Saturday was the first game where BLM looked completely out of his league. He really struggled back there. With a true frosh center and such an inexperienced line, he just isn't going to have the time to go through his progressions. On Saturday, he panicked and was following one guy the whole time with his other eye on the line.
Now that we are entering conference play, I wouldn't be surprised to see Willis elevated to second string pretty soon.

Actually I read this completely differently. It says (is trying to say) that BLM can run the option so no need to call for JW to do it.

Something's gotta give.
Even JJ said he's never had a screen or shuffle pass intercepted in his coaching career.
JW or Logan has to start and soon, like Thursday or this team is going to give up.
The O has to score more than 7 ppg.

They're not going to give up.
And Willis is now a WR. He's not going back to QB.

I believe that JJ has found his guy. Will stay with him. Help him through thick and thin. 4 year plan to try to make him a star. All other qb's may as well accept that it is not JJ's plan to instill competition for the job as a motivator for excellence at that position. This is very disappointing....and I believe a huge factor in the absolute lack of production at the QB position.
I am not very smart, but it is my experience that competition breeds excellence.
If it ain't football, it ain't a sport!

So far in 2008...
Versus nationally-ranked teams: 7 points per game
Versus others: 37 points per game
Expect three touchdowns against Tulane. Will that be enough for this defense?

Why? Just because Tulane is not nationally ranked?
Tulane leads CUSA in at least five defensive categories:
Rush D #16
TTl D #8
Scoring D #43
Pass D #12
Sacks #1
That may not be TCU numbers, but it is not too far behind, and a lot better than Tech.
Unless BLM and the team brings it this week I do not see any reason to expect more than one TD.

Perhaps they have a coach that looked at the available players, and came up with an effective way to use them.
Yes, a novel idea.

I have a question about why Logan Turner doesnt get a little more consideration as a starter? He had all the reps during the spring and has just as many years of eligibility left as BLM.
I can understand if JJ doesnt want to go with Willis because he is gonna be gone by the time the offense and team gets going but why not Turner?

Fixed it for you. You're welcome.
