JJ sounds befuddled as to why BLM doesn't execute in the game what he does execute in practice.

How many times did Phil Bennett tell us that Foy Munlin and Richeul Massey were "tearing it up on the scout team"? The fact that somebody does good when we practice against ourselves, means very little when it comes to game time..............it's been this way for a very long time.

I am not talking about transferring NOW, but before the season started.

I happen to believe BigDaddy when he says JWill saw the writing on the wall when JJ announced his starting QB, he probably saw it sooner than that.

I am surprised he didn't leave then and get his 2 years in elsewhere.

25 hours short of a degree from the finest university in the land? He would have been a fool to transfer. He can still play football after not playing here for one year. He is working out everyday and not taking any lumps. His body will be fresh for the Jr/Sr pro workouts, as well as possibly having 2-3 CFL auditions. Life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Or better yet, do the next best thing. The next best thing for JWill is to support his teammates and graduate. It was also so late in the game when JJ made his DECISION, schools were too far along and the schools that did contact JWills dad, JWill said no.

Sam Houston State is a great venue for former SMU QBs. And former OU QB Rhett Bomar (current SHSU QB) won't be there in 2009.

He still has a year of eligibility and he can enroll in grad school at any 1-AA University including: Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Dartmouth, William and Mary, Villanova, Georgetown to name a few. Or James Madison, Delaware, Appalachian State down a rung academically. Not sure if his grades would get him into grad school at one of those places, but if they wanted him on the field, I suspect that there is always room for one more MBA, MA, or MS, student.
