looks like the purple Bloods see what's coming this weekend. This was a mass email sent out to our neighborhood association here in FW:
" If anyone is interested in two tickets to this saturdays game TCU vs OU (in the designated TCU section)please call me. Face value on the tickets are $62, but would take $30 each or best offer. If interested call Danny before Friday at...."
You didn't think I'd post his number did you?!
This would be the, and I mean THE, only time you should cheer for OU.
Go RED! Go BLUE! Go MUSTANGS! S-M-U!!

I really hate that stupid song because after watching a game, it is stuck in my head for days.

I know I will be in the minority on this, but I actually hope that the Frogs take it to the Sooners. Don't get me wrong, I hate the Frogs as much as anyone on this board, but in my mind this goes the the bigger issue of a non-BCS school showing they can play with and bust up the BCS cartel. I think its a good thing whenever a non-BCS school beats a BCS team - it lends credibility to non-BCS programs and it hopefully gets us non-BCS teams closer to getting a seat at the grown-up table.
Also, I think that TCU having success sets the bar higher for us and will force us to be even more aggressive in getting our program on the level with our rival. TCU has an indoor practice facility (yes, its an ugly piece of [deleted]), and I have heard an indoor facility is on the top of JJ's list.

I couldn't agree more. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend", or "a rising tide floats all boats", or sometlhing to that effect...

And remember when our band was allowed to play Peruna 500+ times a game. It had the same effect on visiting fans and teams, not to memtion our own. It is amazing how the administrations of conferences have managed to destroy the college game experience.
Just send 'da money.

If you're talking about the basketball practice facility then I can't argue with you. However, I think the football indoor facility was very well done. Good luck tomorrow night.

Is that why we have only scored 7 points in each of the last two games?

Peruna drove people nuts. And I love that. But Boomer Sooner is the worst college fight song ever penned. From one of my favorite Rick Reilly columns:
Still, it's better than Oklahoma's, which consists almost entirely of the words boomer and sooner.
Boomer Sooner! Boomer Sooner! Boomer Sooner! Boomer Sooner!
My guess is, the song's composer, after stealing the tune from Yale (Boola, boola!), came down with writer's block early on.
Bobby Joe Gunrack: "Hail, fellers, this song's got two dang words."
Boys lying around the Dairy Queen: "Aw cripes, Bobby Joe, cain't ya get rid of one?"

They passed that rule so that the band playing didn't interfere with their non-stop commercials on the jumbotrons.
