Speaking of her sister, how much do you want to bet that two of the former players who signed those papers both carried the Colli surname? If their witch hunt is unfounded - and it sure sounds that way - then whoever or whatever is driving this thing undoubtedly got both to sign. Those two, at the very least, should be thrown out of the equation.

well, you'd think one of the others would be the lover/significant other of Colli who was on the team (NTTAWWT). That throws out three of the four.

sounds like she went in to Orsini's office looking to cause drama. Mob boss that he is, Orsini checked things out, decided he wasn't going to have that kind of crap on his watch, and laid the smack down, thereby cleaning house.
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.

More details regarding the case from WFAA. In one interview she says she's trying to protect her teammates, but now she's ratting on them for smoking weed and underage drinking.
Unfortunately Katie Gross is one of the 4 teammates who signed an affadavit. The other 3 are insignificant -- pretty sure Chelsea Tiner is/was Jennifer's significant other.

Why is Nancy Lieberman jumping into this?

There's a reason lawsuits don't get tried on the evidence you read in the paper.

I think Lieberman has always had a relationship with the Collis. Not sure if the sisters played for her on an AAU team or what.
And don't take this as gospel, but I think there has been past friction between Rhonda and Lieberman.
If Steve O. ever wanted another "big name hire," wouldn't Lieberman be a natural choice if she had any interest in coaching college basketball?

From "Passion Play, Sports Illustrated, 10-10-2001

Players say Lieberman, 43, and DeForge spent hour after hour together on the road. One witnessed them exchanging hotel room keys, while another spotted Lieberman's car outside DeForge's apartment late one night, incidents DeForge says never happened. "In Sacramento we went out by the [hotel] pool for a workout, and Nancy and Anna were there, swimming and lying by the pool," says former Detroit player Joy Holmes-Harris. "Everyone was, like, 'Come on, give it a rest' "

Lieberman calls the notion that she and DeForge were involved romantically "absolutely false" (Editor's Note: NTTAWWT)and says such talk was born of players' petty jealousies and internal team politics.
