Well this sucks.

Post by Pony!Poni!Pone'! »

How anitclimactic this week was. We got stomped by TCU, didn't even get a chance to fully get over it, then go out and play a half=a$$ed (literally) game against Tulane, and boom. Our football weekend is over with.

And don't look now, but so's our season. Almost halfway done, and we've barely gotten started.
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.

well hold on because its about to get worse before it gets better. I think our best chances for victory won't come until at least late October

I think our best chances are Navy and UTEP-I'd be hesitant to pick SMU in any road game. I see Navy as much as any team in the country because I've got CBSCS and they replay their games 10 times a week. Navy is maybe-next to SMU-the most vulnerable team against the pass that you'll see. Gave you 60 I think to NTSU last year. I have no idea of the expertise and familiarity of our defensive coaches with the wishbone, but on the SMU Offense/Navy defense side we should be able to put up some points. UTEP has some major injuries to some of its best players right now-don't know the severity.

Eh. You guys at least get a "pass" this year, what with being in the "new coach/rebuilding" phase.

If you're as bad next year as we (UNT) are thus far this year, concern will be far more justified.

If we are as bad as NTSU perhaps we need to schedule them for next year to be sure we have at least one win.
