< Name was drawn at Homecoming 1965 to be 'Mr. Mustang'. Photo at left appeared on the cover of the November/December 1965 issue of The Mustang Magazine (for SMU alumni) with the caption 'Happiness is Homecoming'.
Got to ride in a red '65 Ford Mustang convertible with the SMU cheerleaders to the Cotton Bowl where I lead cheers with them on the sidelines and watched the Mustangs defeat the UT 'Horns, 31-14!
Also received a football autographed by the '65 SMU Mustangs.

Went to college in the late 80s/early 90s. Inspired by a popular group of that time from my area of Cali (bay area). Combined that with a tribute to the ponies. Besides, if I wanted to have a bay area band-related nickname, I couldn't do much with Hammer, Green Day, or Metallica.
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.

You know you are lying now, the only reason you supported Jimmy Tubbs was the burgers and cheer movement that I started, which means you supported me.J.T.supporta wrote:i could say i got my name because i am a full supporta of jtstang but that would be a complete lie
I got mine from a random screen name generator on the internets.

I did mine after the well known hollywood director Mark Rydell. He is noted for such movies as The River, The Cowboys, The Rose (he apparently is big on THE movies), and many others and of course was nominated for an Academy Award for On Golden Pond. In his early years he was a Soap Opera star.
In order to keep from being sued, I dropped the last L off of his name.
Oh, and coincidentally, when I dropped the last L, it became my actual name. Go figure.
