Ok, this may sound corny, but I guess it needs to be said.

I started at SMU in September of 1992. I started working for Bill Weidner, Athletic Recruiting Coordinator, on my first day of classes. I spent all four undergrad years and one grad school year (Clovis Hale hired me as his GA) working under Coach Tom Rossley to make the SMU football program as good, as strong, and as winning a program as I could.

As an alumni and now a member of the Mustang Club, I want the Ponies to win as much as anyone. I love our players. I consider them my little brothers. My points about bad play or bad coaching decisions or whatever are because I see things when I watch games that make me crazy. One other thing... I spent time as a scout in the NFL, so I do have experience in this area.

Just thought I'd vent a little and let all the Pony parents know that I support you all.

True, but we didn't stop a lot of first downs and second downs.

It was closer than either fan base thought it would be. No matter what happens there are going to be "haters" for certain players, just ask Bo Levi.

Tulane fans were behind their team and thought they were going to win because they were coming off a great showing against a BCS team and had been playing well. We, on the other hand, had a more realistic expectation of the outcome. Yes, our team played great last week. Everyone was pleasantly surprised at our second half effort and hope it carries over to this week.

So, admittedly, I did not think we were going to win that game. But I was cheering the Ponies on the entire game. Not expecting a win does not equate to not supporting your team. If Bo Levi doesn't want to be subject to criticism, he should not be playing D1 football.

Look Texasscout96 don't get me wrong I don't mind you or anyone else being critical of the team and I know its frustration that makes us vent. I have a problem with stating that they're scared maybe some are and I can't tell but Derrius is small now but has been smaller and has never back down to anyone is what I was saying I sometime scream to the TV and say boy you better get out that big ole boys way before he macks you and he doesn't and he still gets macked and gets up and shakes off and go another round. For all of the undersize boys that's doing their very best I just want to say Way to GO!!
Because I have the biggest hater living in the house with me Roy Bell the boys Dad. LOL He squares he's the best player, now coach that ever walked or played on the football field. He dogs my son and every body else on the football team. I am a Mom so I cutt him off and curse him out too. He is a fairweather fan Jumps off when the going gets tough. Now he wants his son teams to win but if they're losing by 2nd quarter he turns the TV to another game. I don't do that I'm whatever my kids are and that a Eagle 1st and a Mustang and Miner 2nd, Win or Lose and I'm looking at the game to the credits come on still waiting to somehow pull it out. LOL So don't think I'm a whimp I've been reading on ponyfans since Derrius Bell who we call "Baybay" signed in Feb of 2006. I don't have that much that affects me and I can take the criticism. Keep on venting.
