...plays for Cottonwood High here in Salt Lake City. I went to see him play on Friday night and he just dominated the game. His play was eerily similar to Oregon State's Jacquizz Rodgers' performance the night before. Sofele is cut from a similar mold being 5-8 and having legit 4.3 speed. He was making people look stupid with his speed. He went for 3 touches and 138 yards. A friend of mine knew the offensive coordinator who told us that SMU is hot after Sofele along with BYU, Utah and some other schools.

How would this type of back fit into Jones' system?

I thought I had heard that he and Asi Hosea (cousins?) were sort of a packaged deal, you get both or neither. It would be quite a coup to walk away with both of these guys, as they have some serious offers out there (if scout.com is to be believed). I think they have 7 BCS offers between them, with BSC Busters Utah and BYU in there as well.

Thanks for the info Rooster. This young man could be a real impact player for SMU if we can get him.

Will we ever reruit anybody over six feet tall again? Other than in men's hoops, I mean.

I kind of wish they would get one of those plywood cutouts with a FB Player extending his arm at 6' with a sign that says: "Must be this high to sign". The recruits could pass by as they visit campus and those under sized could go home.
And yes I know there are plenty of good players under 6'. It is just that big and good will beat small and good every time.

Where is EJ by the way?
Haven't seen him on the field or sidelines.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I'm glad this one's getting his redshirt year. If I recall correctly, he was pretty Raw coming out. He's one of only 11 of the recruiting class to still have his redshirt.
