LaTech beat Miss State

This is the REAL reason TCU was foolish to go to the MWC:

1 of 2 things will happen:

1) MWC expands with BSU, FSU and Nev and becomes an even MORE western-dominated conference, in which case the travel for TCU becomes way too much for TCU to realistically hope to ever win this conference. Imagine the TCU women's field hockey team's travel schedule now...

2) PAC10 picks off UTAH/BYU and MWC has to backfill their conference with (8) BSU, (9) FSU, and if they want 12 teams --> (10) Nev etc... so the conference isn't quite the step up that TCU was looking for.

This would be the year for the PAC10 to reconsider #2 since PAC10 sucks and UTAH/BYU are on top.

NOTE on 2: Arguably BSU / FSU have been better teams for 10 years than Utah/BYU save Urban Meyer's Utah team (but insert BSU>OU), but the UTAH teams have a larger national following / respect / attendance).

The reason TCU was smart to go to the MWC

Two things will eventually happen:

1) MWC will expand adding Boise St., Fresno St. and probably

another team from Texas.

2) The "MWC 12", consisting of two divisions, will then become

the seventh and final BCS conference.

I've been following Boise State since Houston Nutt. At one time, and I will try to dig it up, there was talk of them going to the Pac 10 with another team to give it a championship game. Since the Pat Hill days at Fresno, there were some grumblings about them going to the Pac 10 as well. Doubtful either one will make it, a move to the MWC seems more plausible.

Speaking of 10, has any one noticed that the Big 10 logo this year looks like it has a +1 on it?

You mean the logo at the top of this page: http://bigten.cstv.com/
That has only been their logo since Penn State joined the league. Welcome to 2008!

I am aware of that, thanks. It might have been a prank, but I clearly saw a "+" on the logo.
