Demyron Martin

Post by SMU2007 »

The guy sucks. I mean seriously, he has gotta be the slowest person on the entire team. I think June Jones could beat him in a footrace, if JJ was running backwards. I feel like the offense was running much better at the beginning when we just used Lee/McKinney. Leave this guy on the bench for the rest of the year, please! It is infuriating to watch him get those shovel passes and just kinda walk around until he gets hit. He is lazy and he is terrible - bad combo.

Not sure JJ had much choice. Lee got hurt and didn't return to the game and McKinney started cramping up in late 3rd Q or early 4thQ.

GO PONIES!!!

Maybe he shouldn't be on the field but don't call the guy lazy. You don't look like that from being lazy. Do you remember when he won us the TCU game by himself. His lack of quickness has to be because of past injury. You work [deleted] your physical therapy but sometimes it doesn't all come back. Not his fault.

well said mr. pony

there are bright spots on this squad; there are holes that, we all hope, get upgraded with an infusion of talent either being developed on the current roster or through recruiting

but a Sunday morning emotionally-charged call-out to a guy that did recover two key fumbles on special teams? you didn't enlighten anyone with your analysis of his speed, which any objective eye could have seen at some point over the last few years.

be constructive and lose the emotion, it goes down so much easier

I could be wrong, but I think Martin was the one who landed on the fumble by UCF in the first period on that kickoff. That's not the sign of a lazy player.

he was the only guy near it, supposed to jump on it. just too bad demyron isnt physically near the type of shape he was in that tcu game. he was tall, lean, and hungry for playing time. now he's just a timid, slow, and bulky back guaranteed to get under 5 yards every rush. keep butler in there

that fumble recovery was a crucial play, although the mustangs couldn't make the most of the opportunity

Exactly. He's also the one who got the ball when we (McCann? Henderson?) muffed a return late in the game. He might not be the ideal feature back for this system - until he's healthy (shoulder), who knows? - but the "he sucks" comment is out of line and simply inaccurate.
