They beat the Bulldogs at Fresno. First win over a ranked team on the road in the program's history.
Thanks JJ, heard you're contact with Hawaii QB coach Nick Rolovich (his former QB) giving advice and encouragement. Classy. And Congrats Coach Mac on the big win! Losing Colt and all receivers has been a challenge but you've overcome.

Total Bullsh*t! See below.
They just had 6 turnovers and thats the only way yall won.
The majority of those turnovers were forced and not just handed over by Fresno. During the ensuing kickoff after Hawaii returned one for 90 yards, the first fumble by Fresno's returner Jefferson was due to a hit by a Hawaii special teams player.
The second fumble which Hawaii recovered was solely QB Branstaters fault because he did not have a handle on the snap. This was the only non-forced turnover.
The first interception in the 2nd quarter was a result of a deflected pass by a Hawaii defender.
The second interception late in the 2nd quarter was an overthrown ball which a Hawaii defender tipped and picked off after Branstater was pressured from a blitz.
Early part of the 3rd quarter, Branstater threw a screen pass which a Hawaii defender intercepted after stepping into the play at the moment the ball was thrown.
The final fumble was by the running back Miller after being hit by Hawaii defenders.
Hawaii had to then score after each of those turnovers. Those points were not handed over by Fresno on a platter or by luck. On two of those turnovers, Hawaii had the short end of the field and put those into the endzone.
Hawaii was assessed 10 penalties (several of which were bogus including a pass interception call and a running into the kicker penalty) while Fresno had zero penalties despite the fact they were holding on occasion and did not get called on a facemask.
It's called making plays; something which Hawaii did not do well in their first 4 games. To call what happened at Fresno luck is pure ignorance on your part because even the Fresno announcers calling the game on the livestream gave credit to Hawaii's defense making those plays.
JJ said him leaving was best for UH
Actually JJ said the same thing. He said that Hawaii would never take the steps to get to the next level until he left....it would be a wake-up call. And he was right. Recruiting budget more than doubled, field turf will be installed on campus and a new athletic complex with state of the art training rooms, lockers, offices and enclosed track and field facilities will break ground next year. This all happened since JJ left and sadly is all the things he was asking for while he was there.
As far as the game, Hawaii had to overcome an 11 penalty to ZERO!! disadvantage. Yes, Fresno had NO penalties and Hawaii had 11. And if you think all the penalties were legit check out this link. It wasn't the only "juice" call but the most outrageous. Being called one of the worst calls in college football history. I think the WAC was pulling hard for another BCS buster team.
