Jones may be listed at 6'1, but he is not. Jeff Reinbold said tonight that Banjo did an outstanding job in his first start.
Jones might run a 5.5 as you claim but Banjo ran a 4.52 I believe based on SMU trials that were published in August for many but not all SMU players.
I found the link below. http://www.ponyfans.com/features/index.php?id=42
i typed it wrong he runs a 4.5 forty, the fact is he makes plays. your 40 times isnt that important.
I don't want to keep going with this, but, the coaches that are on the field every practice with these players, and look at the films each day, have made the decision.
that 4.55 time is a reported time-as in Coach how fast does Tyler run? Or Tyler I saw you committed to SMU today-how fast are you? Oh about a 4.55. Its not verified. Reported, unverified times are more often than not padded.
its not official, but he doesn't run a 5.5. Im sure Banjo is going to be a good player. ive doen enough arguing about it for tonight. ya'll have a good one.
it does not take a rocket scientist to see Banjo is much faster teh Tyler. It is obvious the switch is a good idea. I think we need to go ahead and think about the same thought (more speed on the field) at LB while they are at it. Then get a bunch of JUCO DT's and hope 2-3 stay in school long enough to contribute. Then we might have something for next year. We should be done with undersized guys that are not fast enough.
