See Plano back in the day. Mission High when the Detmers were there. I'm sure there are many more.

UNT had that string of Sunbelt Crowns and Bowl appearances...why did they fire their coach in the first place for a couple of bad years?

Am I the only one who thought that the first post in this thread would just be
"Wrong for America"
???

Same with Converse Judson. Until they finally built their other HS, their Jr./Sr. campus had close to 5,000 kids attending it.
Not to mention their active recruiting of players to move into their area to play football (see Jerod Douglas, et. al.)

Southlake recruited to, now there's a rule similar to college that some high school coaches refer to as the Southlake rule, where if a student enrolls at one high school and plays a sport, then moves to another, he can't play varsity for a year.

lol @ Stallion deflecting the Dodge jab by questioning how many wins JJ will have mid-year 09. No doubt, SMU deserves all the criticism it gets, but Jones has a very good career at his back. The man was in a BCS bowl last year. Dodge is flailing and thus far, is over his head. He may turn the corner, but he has a lifetime of accomplishment to go before he can even be compared to JJ.
Also, his Paul Johnson criticisms were pretty awful as well. The man can coach.
W/that out of the way, Stallion couldn't be any more correct about our talent level and recruiting. We barely resemble a D1 team if athletes are the gauge
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.â€- Jalen Jones

I have found his posts to be rather informative, albeit slanted at times

Summary of the thousands and thousands of Stallions' posts:
1) SMU has inferior talent than most of the teams it plays
2) SMU has an anti-competitive model
3) SMU recruit x has x many stars then (paraprase the scout or rivals article and claim it is your own material)
4) June Jones will never coach SMU and Orsini should quit wasting his time and conduct a real coaching search.
