If you do not think SMU stands a chance to win the next five, and finish 6-5 for the season, then you have not been watching this team. WATCHING is the key word here folks. Raise your hand if you have been to more than one game this year? I went to the Tulane-SMU game and there were maybe 100 there. You all, and I mean, you all, ( I got on the band wagon at the first of the year, not a grad, just a fan of several of the kids) do not know how good you have it. Sure, since the death penalty, there has been a lot of misery, but when you got June Jones as your football coach, that misery has turned to hope for the future. You have to admit, the game is a lot more exciting, even if it has ended in a lose the first part of this year.
I have said before. If I were a kid looking to come to SMU, and went to a home game against an unbeaten division opponent and saw 15,000 fans in the stadium, I think I would probably make this program my last choice. It's freaking SMU for crying out loud.
We ALL need to get behind this team. If you don't go to the games, then you don't have the right to comment. Sort of like complaining who is elected for president, when you did not vote.
GET BEHIND THIS IMPROVING FOOTBALL TEAM. Give the boys the support they deserve. Best of all, they can win these last 5 games.

Buddy, I agree with you on the attendance problem, but you are preaching to the choir here. Most of us can raise our hands and say we have attended all home games, and at least one away (more in many cases).

I'll miss the Houston game as well, but hubby will be there and will hopefully have friends with him in our 2 empty seats. I hate to miss it because I really enjoyed watching the team this week.

First off, we can not go 6-5. We play 12 games and we are 1-6. So, the best we can do is go 6-6.
Go tell the other alums and students that. Guys (Gals) on here go to games and care. If they did not care, they would not waste so much time on this pathetic program.

DBB,
Why is it now a pathetic program? I just do not understand? Why does the future look so bleak to you? You have the best coach that would come to your program. You just need to hope it is not a stepping stone for him. Once he gets the program on track, top tiered teams will be trying to get him. They will, because they have in the past. He believes in this program and the kids are starting to believe. Call this new program pathetic in four years, if he does not get it done.

You're talking to the wrong crowd if you think we're the ones that don't go to the games.
You see those 1,000 fans (if that) at every home game? Yea...all those people would be from this website.
