Their QB who got benched showed from real class when he released a statement saying "he got what he deserved" as well as his dad saying something very similar.

Cullen Harper had every right. If you have watched the situation at Clemson this year you would understand.

A grown man throwing benching a 20 year old quarterback to save his own [deleted]. Cowardly of Bowden.

I think Cullen Harper's dad should have handled that differently IMO. But it will be interesring to see who gets that job.

I think Clemson is handling this as they should...a change was inevitable so why wait? As for the Harper situation...good riddance to him and his father. After his one season "flash in the pan" last year, the Harpers thought Cullen was NFL bound...afterall, the media proclaimed him to be all-ACC and a Heisman candidate. I've watched just about every Clemson game these past 2 years and he ain't all that...especially after getting hurt. Very bitter family right now, but Korn is a SC kid who was recruited to be the next star QB at Clemson, and I'm sure he will be given the opportunity. Only question was whether Harper would be so good that Korn would have to wait until next year. Time will tell if he has the talent, but looks like he will now get a shot. My guess is that Dabo Swinny is in the best position to make that call. Let's see if he reverses Bowden's decision.

their season is lost, Korn is the future. Willy Korn will/should start.

Wasn't Harper the preseason ACC player of the year?
He hasn't played anywhere near that level.

Clemson really underachieved the past couple of years. I think Bowden was told, win the conference or good riddence. Apparently the lockerroom split apart and he couldn't keep it together. Probably good for all concerned. Is Todd Graham on their rolodex and is he vain/dumb enough to go there?

anyone who has watched Clemson play the past several years would know they have been getting whipped on the line of scrimmage (both ways) by the likes of even Wake Forest. They've got great skill guys, but as BUS will tell you, when you lose the battles up front, you eventually lose the war.

Clemson has had very few liemen drafted into the NFL in the 15 years I've been following them. And they were suddenly expected to compete for the National Championship?

Muschamp already mentioned as a possible candidate to replace him...Patterson was also somewhere down a list I've seen

Swinney finishes 7-5 and wins a bowl game and the job might be his.
