"Glory Road" did the same thing to East Texas State University (now, Texas A&M Commerce)....they used a trip to Commerce to play ETSU to show a particularly racist, hostile crowd, when in fact, UTEP never played in Commerce that season.

Even the French don't like Travolta

Travolta film victim of violence in French project

By PIERRE-YVES ROGER, Associated Press Writer 16 minutes ago

PARIS - A John Travolta movie has suspended plans to film in one of the Paris area's toughest housing projects after 10 cars to be used in the movie were burned, the production company and local officials said Tuesday.

Filming of the action movie "From Paris With Love" has been in progress for around two weeks. The filming set in the project known as Les Bosquets was scheduled to start this week. Around 90 residents were cast in roles as extras.

Cars are regularly burned in French housing projects, most famously during rioting that raged for three weeks in 2005 in poor neighborhoods across the country.

Funnyman Steve Martin will do battle with actor Alec Baldwin for the affections of Meryl Streep in an upcoming movie.

Martin will be plunged into a love triangle with the pair, two months after it emerged Baldwin was to star in the as-yet-untitled romantic comedy.

The film - penned by Father of the Bride writer Nancy Meyers - is scheduled to begin shooting next February.
