Getting a local kid like Russell would be great for the program.
U never know if other local talent will follow either from his AAU program or another local HS team. Alot of positive possibilities.
Hopefully he likes the home cooking.

I think we might be right in the thick of things with Russell.

Nice find, Stallion. We have to love the fact that Doherty has us in the mix with these upper-level prospects.....eventually he will land one, like he did last year with McCoy.

K-State sure looks like the leader. If he goes to Manhattan, it sounds like game over.

you must not have read that too close-he specifically denied he was definitely going to commit to K-Staste and wasn't even sure he would make it to K-State and that was to a K-State writer. Didn't sound positive about K-State at all although he given every opportunity to do so.

I read it close enough to catch the last line:

"My gut says I’ll be in Manhattan,â€

He didn't make any such comment. Leading question and less than enthusiastic answer.

"Would it be fair, I asked, to reason that if he’s in Manhattan this weekend, a K-State pledge would be forthcoming?

He laughed.

“That kind of makes sense - if I show up,â€

This was not a leading question at all, Russell had previously stated that his decision would be in the next few days. Regardless of what Russell says, if he goes to manhattan during this period, the writing is on the wall.

I would think that if it is up to his parents or his coach about whether or not he visits that would indicate that he doesn't think too highly of Manhattan. That's just me though.
The donkey's name is Kiki.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

Caught me! But Dorothy never went anywhere without Toto.
Actually, Roy Williams was from Kansas...no North Carolina, then left Kansas to go back to North Carolina.

I have heard that if Nick does not commit in the new few days/week he will make an unofficial visit to the Hilltop again.
