He already appeared in a game. He cannot redshirt unless for medical hardship. Is he hurt?
I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Only his feelings for not enough playing time.

No,
i can not understand why he would not sub in for Serge. When Serge goes out our line goes REAL smal and if you notice. The other team takes notice and runs right over us.
I was thinking that he played early - first 3 games and then sat for red-shirt.
Otherwise with what I have heard at practice, I would think he would sub for Serge and keep some meat on the line.
Nothing against any players. Please that is not the intent.

Since when do we need a marathon as an excuse to carb up?

That's not nice Evan is being patient, he understands that he is a freshman....but he lives and breaths for football...guess you can't blame a kid for wanting to play.

Proud Mama,
I seriously doubt Mrydel intended to criticize your son.
He is our in-house comedian. He should have Rodney Dangerfield as his avatar.
Some days he is funnier than others….you just caught him on an off-day…

Please, please, please do not take that as a criticism. I have to believe that he is aching to play. I am anxious to see him play when the coaches think he is ready. My sincere apologies if my statement was misconstrued. I expect Evan to be a big (in more ways than one) additon to our program for the next 3+ years.

Thanks Mrydel....guess I'm just being a mama bear. And yes, Evan is soooo anxious to play but at the same time is thankful to be playing at all. Please introduce yourself if you see us this Saturday....and no need for apologies

Amen!
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
