will be able to pick his job this off-season.....if he wants to leave. Hate to admit it, but he has built a helluva program in cowtown. Probably the best non-BCS program in the country over the past 5 years.....along with Utah and Boise

Agreed. I think both he and Todd Graham will have plenty of BCS opportunities if they want to go that route.

How come he never seems to get consideration for any major jobs? Does he just like it that much over there?

You are about to get a response from froggie that Patterson married some FW sweet thing and will never leave. I grew up in FW. I married a FW Sweet Thing. I got married at UCC right next to the TCU campus on University in fact. I left.
Other than Railhead and Kincaid's, not much reason to go to Fort Worth. Reatta is overrated; Lonesome Dove has gone downhill now that Tim Love is never there. Though, I admit I had dinner at Lambert's on Saturday and it was quite good, though I was not fond of their shortribs.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I'll bite. Kelsey Patterson is from here, but she went to Texas. She likes FW, but I bet she could like a lot of other places if they offered a lot of money and enough "society" to be involved. I can't see her somewhere like Nebraska or College Station. Maybe a nicer place to live, though.

BTW, I forgot to add that you should try Yucatan Taco Stand. Great food, fabulous margaritas. I've heard to avoid Fuego (where Tim Love's Duce used to be) like the plague. A friend had a chile relleno there with goat cheese and pesto. Sounds like a bad combination to begin with, but the execution was evidently awful. Lambert's is delicious.

GP is a Top5 Defensive Coach. Period.
He sometimes has questionable game day calls. But overall, very good.
The OU game may have been an aberation b/c of the turnovers early in the game. TCU shut down OUs running game.
I feel that game was more probably a 28-17 OU win if no turnovers, it should have been that close.
Recall that OU had been averaging over 50pts a game...
I am more surprised that Leach didn't leave Tech years ago for an Auburn / Arizona / UCLA team. The word two years ago was that the MIAMI job was his but he had to keep a certain minority coach as his D-coord.

I believe Minnesota offered Patterson a couple of years ago. He makes random excuses but I'm guessing he, like Ben Click, likes his gig, and doesn't want to go until he gets what he thinks is the perfect job for him.
Watching TCU totally outclass BYU, especially in terms of athleticism made me feel a little better about how they smashed us...just a little.

Is Lambert's the place over there on Bryant Irving? If it is the place I'm thinking of, it is good.

Does anyone else think BYU might be orchestrating another airport meeting because the conference is just too geographically spread out?

Lambert's is on White Settlement, just a block or two from Angelo's.
