"Southern Methodist Coach June Jones has a unique perspective on the argument. He’s based in Dallas in the heart of Big 12 country and played Georgia in the Sugar Bowl last year as the coach of Hawaii. Jones, who is known as an offensive innovator, gives the offensive edge to the Big 12.

“I would say that the Big 12 is a step ahead offensively than the SEC right now,â€

Roll Tide! We'll see how they do, but I think they're on the right track. As much as I hate to say it, Bama can find a way.

They have a great defense and an intimidating offense.

I'd love to see Texas v. Bama for the title. It would be one of the best BCS matchups in recent history.

A true title game would be the best in the Big 12 v. the best in the SEC. USC needs a better resume, even though they're a great team.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.

Potential is nothing, performance is everything.

Texas will lose at least one game this year. UT beat OU because it made basically no offensive mistakes-laudable but not likely in all 12 games. They have weaknesses at the offensive skill positions that will cost them along the way. They do deserve a lot of credit for playing a great game-but this ain't truly one of the great UT teams. They are starting to get great play out of their unsually athletic front 7 on defense.
