it's okay. I heard Mrydel saying he didn't think that Doh really even wanted him.

Really none of us wanted him anyway. We were using him for leverage so now we can move on to our real pick.

So much for that. Still glad we're not afraid to play in the deep end of the pool.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Wow, so the comments about looking for a school with a strong "academic reputation" and "the school that needs him the most" turned out to be complete BS. SOS.

So much for the new basketball center attracting recruits......SMU does less with more than any other school in Div. 1-A.

LOL, facilities don't make up for sucking since the beginning of time. SMU is one of the toughest sells in college hoops. A primarily rich white school that has no program history, in a non-BCS conference. But yeah, come check out our new practice facility, really nice showers
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.â€- Jalen Jones

As outstanding as Crum is LSU takes a back seat to no one.
Its hard enough to sell this program, plus add in the fact that 11 of this years squad are freshman & sophmores & it makes it even more difficult to try to bring a young player in.
My preference is to see Robo go the JUCO route or transfer route if he cannot land Russell. There will also be few kids that are under the radar a little bit right now that will have breakout senior seasons and become hot commodities.
I am surprised we have no commitments @ this point but we are not alone in CUSA. U of H, Southern Miss & Marshall also have no commitments.

I agree. Go after the kids who have already spent two years in some sh!thole. I think we'd have a better shot.
The last time we went so long early in the year without a commit I think we wound up with Cam Spencer, and that's it.

any word on Russell?
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.
