Quincy Acy

We discussed him a while back......the PF from Mesquite Horn. 4 star and ranked as the 4th best player in Texas last year. I thought he was headed to prep school, but I just saw that he signed with Baylor?? I hoped we would get in on this guy....he is a stud and will be a great player for the Bears. Another one that got away.

I'm not sure you can honestly say he got away. Appears this kid is probably an academic non-qualifier type and you would really be rolling the dice as to whether or not he ever shows up on campus or how long he might play. Sometimes you have to make tough decisions on where your recruiting time and energy is concentrated. Also, the politics as to who has control of the kid and your odds in the face of that control. There are many games and much $$$ going on behind the scenes particularly with AAU coaches and that whole non-high school club team substructure.

Again, an example of you not knowing what you're talking about. Grades were never an issue with Acy. Anything else you want to add?
