You can't hardly blame a guy for turning to drugs when he wakes up every day to find he's living the nightmare of playing for a school so sorry it can be blackballed from every good conference by SMU. The Shunnedbelt may as well be d-2.
Man, that felt good.
I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Players who fail a drug test must attend drug counseling and are subject to additional tests. A second offense results in a suspension, additional testing and mandatory counseling. A third offense leads to a suspension from the team while he undergoes a rehabilitation program.
A fourth offense results in a player being dismissed from the team and having his scholarship revoked.
Why doesn't the first offense result in a suspension? Why doesn't the second offense lead to a suspension from the team? Why doesn't the third offense result in dismissal?
The first offense is a slap on the wrist. Hardly a deterrent to those who want to use drugs.

Surprised they are averaging almost 19,000 per game. I'm sure it is somewhat inflated but would have expected less.

True
UNT has lost home games by 30, 32, 29 and 28 points to Tulsa, Fla International, ULaLa and Troy. Think they want a do-over on getting rid of Dickey???

Maybe so - but at least we know there's another program out there with problems far beyond what we're dealing with. At least SMU football has some positive things going for it...if you're an NTSU grad driving home from a hard double shift at the 7-11 tonight, what can you be happy about with your football team? A new stadium....maybe?

N. Texas has a much smaller athletic budget than SMU.
N. Texas is in a less visable conference than SMU.
N. Texas has worse facilities than SMU.
N. Texas has not been a Div. 1-A school as long as SMU.
What is SMU's excuse for this pathetic football program it has put on the field for the last 10 years?

We shot ourselves in the head with both barrels. I thought everybody accepted that by now.
