Wow, I guess my disclaimer about folks not liking rap on this board was a drastic understatement. I'm not the biggest fan of rap myself, but I can still appreciate the fact that there's an alum out there who cares enough to put the time and effort into trying to boost the atmosphere at our pathetic games.

Since we all know the crowd/atmosphere does very little to help energize the players, I think this would be vast improvement over what we've got. Playing "Knuck if You Buck" was the biggest player/crowd energizer we've had in years...but heaven forbid we play rap at a football stadium!

They played it at the beginning of the games a couple years ago. The players dug it, it was fun to see them bounce around. I had no problem with it, I've seen it at plenty of stadiums, not necessarily Knuck if you Buck... but I know I've seen heard Crank that Soldier Boy in a few stadiums.

I believe it was 2 years ago (our lone good season), Knuck if You Buck was the RAP song played after an SMU touchdown, leading up to the kick off. It had the players jumping on the sidelines and the crowd up on their feet. It was one of the few good things about our game presentation over the years -- easily the most energy we've seen at Ford that was directed positively towards SMU.

I bet the rap industry is breathing a sigh of relief.

Voc was a good player, just never could get healthy.

Yes, he graduated and did some grad work as well due to his medical red shirting. He already has a successful career going in some form of finance I believe. The rapping is just a hobby of his, but now he is seeing some success with it too.

That's awesome... hope it goes well for him, and I am glad he has Mustang Pride!

I'm with you on this, at least Voc has enough passion about the Stangs, to write and record a song. Most of our fans are so old, they think The Beatles are new.

Agreed.

And for guy who lives in Copenhagen.

I also lived in the Pacific Northwest and never heard a local
from Seattle refer to it as the "Emerald City".
