The 2008 recruiting class will be the foundation of the entire program for years to come. Congrats to Lunday.

I see about 3-4 guys in the Class that probably have a chance to really be key players in a top football program. I think we already "recruited over" the offensive line recruits and several of the Receiver recruits.

First of all, who's really called the class "vaunted"? Some decent players were added to Bennett's guys in 3 weeks (Taylor Thompson, Banjo, McJunkin, Loftin for example) right before signing day. We absolutely need to keep improving if we want to reach our stated goal but no reason to make a quick judgement and say the class needs to be effectively replaced by "recruiting over" it. Just relax, talent will continue to be added to this class which will contribute.

I have been surprised that, despite the on-going loss of RB after RB, we can keep finding players to put out there.

On the other hand, how can we survive playing vs. a 3 man line without ripping a lot of rushing yards?
Go Ponies!!
Beat whoever it is we are playing!!

it is crazy to me that a guy i hadn't even thought of in weeks rolls out there to start the game at RB. it took me a minute to figure out who that was. i thought he was a slot receiver. he did pretty well though.

5 carries for 24 yards with a long of 14...............with stats like that.........the SMU rushing records will be safe for a while longer..........

In a.......... Monsoon.

I still like Butler and Lee but in another thread we were talking about who we would be playing at RB, and prior to Saturday Lunday's name didn't even come up. The reason for this is that Lunday is listed as a WR on the roster, and I believe that up until two weeks ago (at the most) he hadn't practiced much if at all as a running back. I imagine that he'll go back to WR when we get healthy.
