Now they are saying 15 of the positives were for recreational drug use. So much for their endless stash of jokes about SMU's recreational drug problem.

A fourth offense results in a player being dismissed from the team and having his scholarship revoked.
Why doesn't the first offense result in a suspension? Why doesn't the second offense lead to a suspension from the team? Why doesn't the third offense result in dismissal? The first offense is a slap on the wrist. Hardly a deterrent to those who want to use drugs.
Let us ...uh....not ....uh.....talk about suspensions after the first test. OK? You really might not like where that road leads. Even at SMU. Just sayin'.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Maybe so - but at least we know there's another program out there with problems far beyond what we're dealing with. At least SMU football has some positive things going for it...if you're an NTSU grad driving home from a hard double shift at the 7-11 tonight, what can you be happy about with your football team? A new stadium....maybe?
Hey, is there really anything wrong with doing a double shift at the 7-11? Some of us forget that there are people working out there on our behalf, and the kind of snobbery this comment shows doesn't really do SMU much good.

No, and there's nothing wrong with making a joke about NTSU either. Especially a joke about blackballing them from every good conference they've ever tried to get into in a huge conspiracy to keep them down.
I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Both are lower-tier but C-USA has the TV contract with ESPN and several more bowl ties...the winner of the Suck Belt goes to the New Orleans Bowl. 6-6 Rice played in that 2 years ago after finishing 4th in C-USA.
We're not in a great conference, but it's far and away better than what NTSU has.

These comments should go into the 'Season Lows' thread. We are grasping.

What has the world come to when the big debate is which ranks higher, North Texas State Teachers College or Southern Methodist University?
