Hahahahahaha they just did a nice segment on how awful the big 10 is this year, stating that "at least 5 of the lower rated teams in the top 10 would beat them handily"

Oh, yes you BIG TIME care because you were the one who started the Dear General thread and were pleading for Ohio State to beat Penn State because you didn't want a BIG TEN team in the championship game.
If Penn State trips up in the final 3 games, then they're done. Until then, they are just lurking.
I will say, this actually looks pretty good for Texas because if Tech trips over OSU or OU and Alabama falls somewhere (at LSU next Saturday?) and the Longhorns find a way to get to the Big 12 title game, they are in pretty good shape.
Texas finishes with Baylor, Kansas and A&M.
November should be fun just like last November was.

I just want to know who is the best team, and it clearly isnt PSU so why dont we fix the freaking system?? Wait wait, you are going to tell me they are...just like ohio state last year...and just like ohio state the year before that...HA

This is BS..... I am not a fan of the Big Ten, but Penn St. deserves better.
They are being penalized for the sins of Ohio State. If you look at Ohio State in years past, they needed some fluke luck to win several of their games and usually squeaked out 2 to 3 of their victories.
That is not the case with Penn St. at all. They have destroyed people all year and won a tough road game.
If Tech wins a tough game on the road (and Kansas does not count, b/c the Big XII north is a fraud) then they should promptly move ahead of both Bama and Penn St.

seriously, if winning in a bad conference is all you need to do.... Any top 12 team could be #1 if they were in the Big Televen (stallion's copyright). TCU would beat PSU this year.

How do you know that Penn St. isn't the best team? Because Barry Switzer and Terry Bradshaw said so?
I'm a Big Ten fan, and I like the look of this Penn State team. They are faster than people realize. They don't beat themselves and they make you for your mistakes.
EDIT: TCU would not beat Penn St.

The Pac-10 is a weak conference as well (most people believe this to to be the case)........does this mean USC isn't a top team?
I can't defend the Big Ten Conference. Ohio State got crushed by USC, Illinois lost at Mizzou (early in the year and put up 42), Mich St lost at Cal by a TD. Their highlight wins are Mich St over ND, Wisconsin over Fresno, and Penn St. over Oregon St.....
However, Penn St. has been head and shoulders above their opponents similar to USC. Although, USC barely got by Arizona at their place and they lost to Arizona.
If Penn St. can't close out their remaining 3 games convincingly, they I agree they should come under question. However, they have won every game by more than 2 TD's this year with the exception of Ohio St. (who I do think is good).
