General Big Ten Paton, any ideas? I know he played college b-ball for Meatchicken, maybe you have some insight.

Lew Sterrett would be a good guess....but seriously, I think he still lives in the area. Guy was an incredible talent, just could stay away from his demons.

the original 7 foot answer in Dallas. He keeps his nose clean, so to speak, and I think the Mavs would've had a title or two late 80s/early 90s.

He's basketball's Steve Howe & Dwight Gooden.

That whole draft, in general, was a littered with drug users. The notable one being the late Len Bias. Don't forget about William Bedford and Chris Washburn as well. Out of all of those, Tarpley had the most success...if you can call it that. There were lots of solid NBA players in the 2nd round of that draft like Mark Price,Dennis Rodman, Nate McMillan and Jeff Hornacek.

I never thought Bedford would be worth a damn, but Washburn had as much natural talent as anyone I've ever seen. I knew a guy who played with him (OK, practiced with him - never got off the bench at NC State) who said Washburn was the most talented athlete - in any sport - that he'd ever seen, and also the laziest. Said he never played hard, never practiced hard and often didn't practice at all ... and still dominated games. The ultimate man among boys, and one of the biggest wastes of talent in the history of sports.
