Patterson.....I feel is gone from FW this year

Postby Dwan » Tue Nov 04, 2008 3:03 am

to many jobs that he would be good for. I feel he is a perfect fit at Tennesse....I cant think who would be better. Lane Kiffen...please, no real experience...Leach....does not fit in in Knoxville.....graham.....he is like Patterson with less success....Patterson has over 8 years of success at the 1-A level, has five ten win seasons at TCU......I see him at UT

I think it depends what we pay him. And what games we have in the future. BTW, lot of job security at Tenn. Weren't they in the SEC championship game last year?

Lot of good kids coming to TCU next year, top 20 recruiting class. I think( and hope) he stays.

I just don't see him leaving ever. He's got a really good thing working in Fort Worth. The $$ is pouring into that program beyond his salary. The administration there gets it.

Patterson can be the King of Fort Worth for however long he wants to do it.

The only question is how bad does he want to win a national championship? By the list of BCS jobs his name has been connected with in the past, he would not come any closer.

The only way he leaves is if he is a serious candidate for a Texas, LSU, USC, Michigan or Florida-type of job. If it's nothing like that, he's not going.

Exactly, spot-on

He will be the Frog's version of JoePa.

However, if the Longhorns call then he's gone, other than that no.

Tennessee (and other schools) have a wealth of coaches to choose from this year.

At some point, however, Patterson risks becoming the TCU Jeff Bower. All he did was have 14 straight winning seasons, passed up head coaching jobs and ended his career with six straight bowls. Southern Miss then sent him packing.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Leach could have left for UCLA or MIAMI. I think he likes Tech. Tech may be the new team to be now.

I could still see him going to Arizona or out west where he is from.

Remember, Clemson, Tenn, Auburn are all available.

Patterson is GONE after this season unless he craters in the next 3 games.

From rumors that I have heard, if Patterson leaves TCU, it won't be because of money.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Last time I checked, Tuberville was still at Auburn. I don't think he gets fired this season. If next year is as dismal as this year, then he's gone.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.
