Since 1990 there have been 11 (count 'em, 11: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, Wisconsin) teams in the "Big 10".
What kind of example does a conference set when the number of schools doesn't add up to the number of schools identified in the conference name? Notice I said name, not logo.
I HATE the University of Texas!

In other news, the smu football team isn't very good this year and also, Justin Willis isn't even the starting qb anymore!

I just heard that a RB from Sealy and Houston Strattford are thinking about attending SMU. Boy that would be really swell to have two good RB next year.

They need to add Notre Dame or PITT to make 12. Then have a championship game, and make it much more legit.

They won't do that. It took the conference forever to start moving the final weekend of the regular season to the Saturday after Thanksgiving -- starting next year.

Pitt is quite content to remain in the Big East and ND is a member of the Big East for all sports but football. ND will never join any conference in football so long as they have their own exclusive TV deal with NBC. They can have their cake and eat it too.
