You'll know pretty quickly either way.

Wade will need to decide by December 20th, 2008 which is National Letter of Intent Day.

Wade didn't give specifics as to why he was de-committing only calling it, "irreconcilable differences" with the Ducks program and staff.

It was probably beause he felt those nasty Oregon uniforms make him look fat.

"I want to win a BCS national championship," says Wade, who committed to Oregon this summer. "I want to be the defensive MVP of that game. I want to be the Lombardi Award winner of that season. I want to be college football's Defensive Player of the Year when it's over. It sounds crazy, I know. But those are the things I want and I'm working hard to get them."

"I don't buy into anything that won't help me do what I want to do," says Wade, who is rated the No. 1 player in Oregon and the nation's No. 95 recruit in the Class of 2007 by RISE. "I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't party and I don't have time for girls. I don't participate in that because it could keep me from getting where I want to go. That stuff is not in the plan. My priorities are God, family, school and football. Everything else is going to have to wait."

I'm sending that quote to my sons. What an incredible attitude.

Except he ought to make time for girls, and so should your sons.

for a guy that wants to win a bcs national championship he sure is looking at a lot of schools who have no chance (pretty much every one on his list minus usc and lsu)

At 7, 10, and 13, there's probably still time for them to worry about the opposite sex. I like this kid's focus.

13? I forgot you had one that was 13. Please keep your hands inside the care at all times while the ride is in motion....

here are some quotes

"I want to win a BCS national championship," says Wade, who committed to Oregon this summer. "I want to be the defensive MVP of that game. I want to be the Lombardi Award winner of that season. I want to be college football's Defensive Player of the Year when it's over. It sounds crazy, I know. But those are the things I want and I'm working hard to get them."

"I don't buy into anything that won't help me do what I want to do," says Wade, who is rated the No. 1 player in Oregon and the nation's No. 95 recruit in the Class of 2007 by RISE. "I don't drink. My priorities are God, family, school and football. Everything else is going to have to wait."

"I want to be the best player ever to play the position," says Wade. "That may sound [deleted], but I'm just confident. I want to be the best at what I do and at what I play. Look at Jerry Rice. Now, every young wide receiver wants to be like him. I want to be that player to other kids someday."

"I size up offensive linemen when I'm in a one-on-one situation," he says. "I stare them down. If they look away or look down, it reinforces for me that I'm going to overpower them. When I get into my stance, I can sense whether or not he's comfortable with what he's about to do. Over the course of a game, I get inside their head that way."

"I don't know everything, so I have to learn as much as I can now and at the next level to get to the NFL," says Wade. "I'll be 17 in my first college season and I'll be going up against guys who are 21 and 22 years old. I'll be a kid versus grown men. It'll be a big adjustment, but I know that with a few more tools, I won't get pushed around. It'll bring out my best."

how many of our current players have this type of attitude?
