That gives me almost two years to save up my SS checks for the trip. Not counting my monthly stimulus check I have been promised.

When the wealth gets redistributed, all plane tickets will cost the same. Probably be relatively cheap for Hawaii but I will now have trouble on my trips to Dallas.

I was really kinda counting on some of yours being distributed to me. :D
When will I start feeling stimulated??

does a trip to Hawaii allow a 13 game schedule? I see we already have 12 games scheduled so either renegotiating or talking about a 13th game?

If Jones schedules that game, I will take that as a sign he is expecting to be competitive by then. Road games with TTech, Navy & Hawaii along with home games against TCU & Missouri? Wow

Of course mrydel likes Palin.

He did not attend SMU (doubtful he attended any college), is a right wing evangelical wingnut, and is from Arkansas.

I do not like discussing ones personal life on PFs but the depth of your ignorance warrants a response.

I attended SMU. I graduated SMU. I played FB at SMU. I was a student coach at SMU. Although I live in AR, I am originally from Dallas.

I do not like killing babies, so if that makes me a right wing extremist wing nut, so be it.

All of that along with your predictions of both UT and OSU blowing out TT pretty well define your level of knowledge on both life and football.

BTW, my profession is based on providing aid and assistance to low income families and minorities. Anything else on which you need correcting?

Until we can win consistently, we should not be on any national broadcast. Remember the Labor Day game against Tech, or the "spotlight game" to bring in the June Jones era.........losses like that continue to show that SMU is not even close to being recovered from the Death Penalty.

An SMU commercial-of course we'd play it. Big Picture people-stop thinking small-ball. The Goal is to build a strong nationally prominent program not go 6-6 and go to the Weed Eater Bowl.

It would be three hours of talking about how hard it has been for Jones over the last two years. Unless you think Jones is going to have this thing turned around next year, which you don't.

Don't forget your "commercial" will kick off at 10 at night Texas time if it is shown on ESPN or ESPN2 at all. With all due respect, CSTV games don't get us that much exposure.

Mack Brown was smart enough not to go to Hawaii.

Big picture, my @$$. We need that Weedeater bowl more than anything. Let's figure out how to get this taco stand off the ground before we start talking about franchising.

Obviously national TV exposure can only help all aspects of SMU. I think; however, that if you look at the bottom line of teams playing in 70% of all holiday bowl games it is a break barely even $$$$$$ proposition. If a team cannot clear at least $750,000 you make NO money for the athletic department. The bulk of the money covers travel costs, sight seeing, a week of hotels and meals for the band, cheerleaders, athletic dept. staff and selected school officials. The value of a bowl is a reward to the team for a good season, reward the supporting team personnel, school PR, support recruiting and pacify the alumni to a certain degree aleviating some pressure on the head coach. If it is not a major bowl game it is break even or even a small loss.

Have I struck a chord?

You want a gold star? posting in a public forum about how you help the poor is typical of the hubris of a palinlover to begin with. Praise Jesus! I help the poor! I shoot Bears from Helicopters! I redistribute oil company profits! I am anti Science and am against scientific research!!! and most important of all I did NOT attend SMU but I support the Bush Library.

The real question is why YOU even post on this board.

I was wrong about Tech in regards to Texas. I never predicted OSU would beat Tech. Of course expecting a moron like yourself to be able to read might be a stretch.

Praise Jesus! YOU BETCHA! I also help the poor. Do I get a gold star?
