I dont know - but if they play defense, they obviously saw a huge opportunity to start early.

I saw Padron there with a pretty green wrist brace on. He looks all of 12 years old other than being about 6' 3".

He can look 3 years old, but if he can play, I'm glad to have him.

You are exactly right. If I'm a recruit on the defensive side of the ball I would have to believe that I could come in here and start or @ least get alot of playing time. Hopefully JJ will get serious with the JC recruiting on the D side of the ball.

It appears that everyone is hoping/guessing that JJ should go after some JC kids. I see little evidence that he is pursuing this angle and wants this to be part of his rebuilding philosophy. I only recall 1 JC committment and one DT whose name has even come up this fall as far as being pursued/ interested. Even if JJ could induce some JC kids the question remains as to how many scholarships he has left and what will be done if he needs more. The annual limit is 25 and we are hanging in around 22 committments and I'm not sure how the gray shirts fit into that formula. I think you can throw out JC kids as a fix in the 2009 class.
