First, these players are playing Division 1-A (or whatever they call it now) college football. If they don't want to deal with the glare they probably should consider playing Division II where no one seems to care. Playing for SMU is close Secondly, I think criticism can be taken constructively, or ignored. If someone says that a certain player missed a block or was getting picked on because of this or that by the other team, he can use that is either a learning tool as something he already knew and ignore it. Lastly, remember the people who post here are the few that are passionate about SMU sports. Sometimes exuberance trumps lucidity. I think its safe to say that no one here hates the players and no one here wants to wish them ill. We only want them to win games.
