You give yourself a whole month? I think I'd of racked them up between the parking lot and the dorms on day 1 lol.

Proud Mama, Give Evan my best and tell him I respect him for accepting responsibility and look forward to his returning to the team and to the field of play. I have read your posts during this year and I believe our country would be much better off if ALL parents held their children accountable and loved them as you do. Whatever happens on the football field during his career, I am certain that Evan is going to be a fine man.

My minor infractions my freshman year were so numerous that I should still be benched, 40 years later...I still have nightmares about my freshman year in college. It is part of growing up and I am glad that JJ and staff are there to help them through it.
Kudos to Evan for accepting responsibility, and kudos to Mrs. H for clearing the air before the rumor mill ran out of control. Evan sounds like a bright young man, and the next time we read about him, it's going to be for his play on the field.
Evan, if you're out there: take care of your knee - we need you. Feel better soon.
Evan could have taken the easy route and not been in the stands. I know Coach Jones has high standards for players and keeps them accountable. In the long run, it will serve them well. Evan's a good guy. I could probably take some parenting lessons from his Mama.
pretty sure i'm the first person to make such a clever observation. don't be jealous.
You're a wuss!
You know if they had a bowl for the worst two teams in the Country (the anti-BCS bowl) it would probably have a sponsor very quickly - the Tidee Bowl. Heaven knows no two teams need extra workouts more than they do. And it probably would get a bigger ratings share than a the Capital One Bowl. Just like people go to car races to see the wrecks and slow down when driving past a car crash. And we'd have probably gone to three of them.
No, they wouldn't - people don't want to see bad football. Look at what happened to the XFL.
Thanks for all the support. We hope Evan will continue to learn and mature so that his contribution will make everyone proud of him.
Here's a little something that Evans cousin made out of one of his photos. [img][/img]
Yep...hope springs eternal around here...tempered by an occasional heavy dose of frustration. Help lead us out of the darkness Evan.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
