I have heard that Emanuel, ALdrick, Derrius Bell and Justin Smart have all been suspended for the remainder of the season. Three strikes your out rule, I believe

I think more than anything this year in terms of our play on the field, June is disturbed by the lack of commitment and the attitude of this team. Before he even had time to put up the pictures in his office he had to suspend Justin Willis for the entire spring. Then, throughout this season there have been numerous suspensions. These kids are getting a 40K a year scholarship to play college football and get a world class education. Jones was hired to turn around one of if not the most moribund football program in the country and I think he is shocked by the culture here. This disturbs me more than the win-loss record this year b/c it seems we have some guys on this team that really don't give a rats fat [deleted].
Back off Warchild seriously.

That would be impressive, considering the number of times we've been held to 7 this year. I would've guessed 14 points.
very true, right after i posted i thought how i should have said No more than 24 points. Your right , 9 points against utep, 7 against southern miss, as i said last night in the deleted thread our entire offense this year was those two, had they been hurt in our first game and out for the season out production on O would have been about half and BLM would have about 13 TDS 17 INTs

Does that really surprise you? Look at the athletic department the past twenty years, look at much of the way the rest of the school is run. I think improvements are being made, but during my time associated with the university it has appeared as though individuals who want to do more than the bare minimum to get their grade, paycheck, scholarship, etc are few and far between.

Unlike Caven's massive suspensions before the TCU game which may have cost us a bowl, this is a relatively low risk move.
The suspension may not affect the results, but it will give some kids a lot more playing time. We are in future build mode and the more kids that get significant experience the better.
Also, the kids have seen what happens to suspended players (Willis) and there may be more surprises to come from these suspensions.
Glad Junes is imposing his program and expectation and not allowing the kids to push him around. It will pay dividends down the road.

This is a very good point - it seems that JJ is very concerned about the culture of our program and is trying hard to change things in a major way. Taking a hard stand like this is about the only way to do it if guys won't listen and do what they are supposed to.
It literally can't get much worse for us at this point, so we might as well do the hard things now to turn the entire ship around, from attitude on up.
