FB Byron Henderson 5-11, 210, 4.6, Ft. Worth Arlington Heights --
Henderson is a very strong and aggressive middle linebacker who looks like he could make a very good fullback at the next level. He is an accomplished power-lifter who has personal bests of 325 in the bench, 455 in the squat, and 495 in the dead lift. He was All District as a junior with 120 tackles and 5 sacks. He has a 3.6 GPA. Lists SMU, Texas, TCU, and Oklahoma State.
All-Purpose Back Ross Irving 5-9, 176, 4.39 of Georgetown. He is a dynamic little all-purpose back who can return punts and kickoffs for some college team as a true freshman. He is also a great receiver coming out of the backfield. As a junior he rushed for 1,050 yards on only 150 carries. He also averaged an incredible 27.9 yards per kickoff return. He has a 2.8 GPA and scored a 1040 on his SAT. Lists SMU, Colorado, TCU, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, and Baylor.
OB Riley Morris 6-2, 194, 4.6, of Canadian. Morris has a good arm and is very athletic. As a junior, he completed passes for 1,475 yards and 15 touchdowns. He has a 34 inch vertical jump and has excellent grades with a 3.8 GPA. He is a two-year starter after moving from Copperas Cove. Lists SMU, Houston, TCU, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Colorado State.
Athlete Jeremy Wilburn 5-11, 180, 4.32, of Shreveport Byrd. Wilburn is an outstanding athlete who will play quarterback his senior year but could play any number of positions in college. With his size, speed, and quickness he would make an outstanding receiver in college. Has a 3.5 GPA. Lists SMU, LSU, A&M, Oklahoma State, Tulane and Indiana.

At running back, we're losing Keylon Kincade after this season. We'll still have Johnnie Fitzgerald and Richuel Massey, and ShanDerrick Charles, if the rumors that his career might be over aren't false. In addition, we have several guys who were very talented RBs in high school — Anthony Barnett, Fred Turner, Cedric Dorsey, Ervin McGee and C.D. Moss. And word is we have a good shot at the Henderson kid from Paris (I think).
With limited scholarships available in February, do we need another RB? Or are we simply covering our bases with Ross Irving in case we lose out on Henderson?

you always need a stable of 4-6 guys who can step in and play the tailback position. Those guys are generally great athletes who can play in the secondary, as wideouts or in the slot, return kicks & punts, etc...and they are prone to injury because they are generally marked men.

Good point on needing a bunch of guys who can play RB. But this Irving kid seems small for a backup plan. He's the same size (roughly) as Henderson, but his resumé doesn't quite stand up to Henderson's, and Henderson supposedly is a step quicker.
Then again .... 5-9, 176, 4.39 .... how big was Cody Cardwell (who was listed at 5-10, 180 as a senior) when we signed him? I'd say he turned out OK. I hereby withdraw my objection to Ross Irving until I've seen him play.

Wilburn is a unbelievable athlete. He can run like you wouldn't believe. If he can't play QB at SMU, he can play somewhere. WR, DB, RB, even KR/PR.
I hear LSU is kind of lukewarm on him. Tulane loves him, but Tulane and LSU don't recruit from the same pool of players.
I don't know about the other schools you list for him.

Henderson sounds a little small for a fullback, doesn't he?
