well you guys will be surprised. Vincent Chase could posslibly commit to smu by this week. That would be huge. Rivals.com has done two articles on chase, and according to the Nebraska Cornhuskers he will probably be the #1 tightend recruit in the nation. Rivals.com also says that Chase has 15 offers from schools, a couple that i remember seeing was nebraska,OU, Florida, Syracuse, Kansas State. This would definaty Start the recruiting class of 2004 just right.

Cool! Sounds like you know Vincent - be sure to let him know that there are a lot of PonyFans ready to cheer him on and watch him become a star.

I've been lucky enough to see both Chase brothers play, and believe me, they are extremely talented. Vincent reminds me a little of Heap, the tight end for the Baltimore Ravens -- exceptional hands and speed for a big guy, and very underrated as a blocker. Believe me, I've seen him flatten a couple of guys. His brother Bobby reminds me of Tai Streets? Ed McCaffrey? Very tall and lean, faster than he looks and extremely athletic. Every time you think he can't catch up to a long pass, he goes and gets it. They both play with a lot of heart. Bring 'em to SMU!

I play right tackle on the O-Line Charleston Pony. And I would definitely love to play with all my friends again at SMU.

well, i have seen vincent and bobby play also.Getting both of them hear will definatly help smu make a trun around. I believe Vincent could be the next Jeremy Shockey. He levels people on the field.

Can anyone post the Rivals100 article on Vincent Chase "Texas TE best that nobody's talked about"?

Can confirm that Vincent is all of the 6'5" 240+ reported. He was at a number of practices and scrimmages this past spring. He's a pretty lanky 240 too. Faucette will turn him into a monster.

Saw Bobby Chase as well. Although he's big for a receiver, I don't think he's as tall as reported by Buddha. I'd guess about 6'2".

I love thegatekeeper's comparison - if Vincent Chase is even half of a Jeremy Shockey clone, he'd upgrade the offense by himself.

The good thing about Smu recruiting Irving Texas is, if there is any doubt about the talent, size, or ability of any of the potenial prospects you can simply drive all of 20 mins and see for yourself.

Vincent Chase is 6'5 240lbs, Can run at a 4.7/40yrd, has a 30in vertical leap, and is one of the meanest, strongest football players thats ever walked through Irving High School. He now has 15 official offers, and that was in the month of may. As for his brother bobby, the 15 schools that offered vincent will never forgive themselves when they see the 6'4 205lbs possesion reciever that could have kept their chains moving. "CAN YOU SAY FIRST DOWN MUSTANGS"????
