The MWC with Boise would have a very strong argument for inclusion in future BCS talks when you compare them to the Big East. And no - that's not just based on this year. BSU, TCU, BYU, and Utah are consistently good-to-excellent programs. Remember that the BCS has been evolving ever since it was created and the smart conferences/schools are the ones that are looking long term. If the MWC wants to push for automatic BCS inclusion, cherry picking the best teams from other non-BCS leagues will only help them.

The mtn is not available on Dish Network last I checked.

I cannot believe that SMU would have a larger TV audience potential than Boise State.
BSU is essentially a semi pro team for the town of Boise. Its a community college type school with most of the fans being Idaho residents and not necessarily students or alumni. BSU football is religion in those parts. They actually sell out all their games win or loose.
The idea that SMU would be invited to join the MWC is absurd.
I like CUSA and think its a good conference for us. What does SMU have in common with UNLV or San Diego State? geez. It would be like those great WAC matchups: BSU vs SMU. Students at either school have never even heard or known someone who went to the other school.

True, but what football or even sports fan would have dish over direct anyway?

Either TCU rejoins CUSA or SMU pairs up with the Frogs with the guys who dumped the WAC to form the MWC.
Pretty strange. My point is that the Frogs are in the wrong conference, but pairing with them in the future does make sense. Better if it was in CUSA.

No hardcore MTN west fan.
Its interest from everyone else on Saturdays. With all the huge numbers of televised games on every Saturday some exposure would be nice. Not everyone, including many hardcore college football fans have direct especially in the east.
However, maybe that whipping TCU got up in Norman was televised on the Dish?

Oh I agree there horny toad freak. TCU looked impressive against us. Of course thats not saying much is it? OU kinda of put TCU in the "denied the bigtime again" category like we did a couple of years ago.
And its kinda of pathetic that you come here and post would you not agree?

The MWC might want to make a statement that they are a BCS level conference-get it. Geez. I think a lot of SMU fans want to be a big fish in a small bowl -that attitude is for losers.
Stallion, is one of the few fans on this forum who comprehends what
is currently taking place in college football. Due to SMU family ties, I
would like to see the Ponies become competitive once again. However,
if some of the archaic attitudes expressed on this forum are prevalent
throughout the university...then it's going to be an awesome undertaking.

Ponyfans rule #1: Don't feed the monkeys
It tastes better when served from a Bowl (game)!

3 of our last 6 seasons we've put up a total of 2 wins. (1 against a DI) Pretty sure that qualifies us as losers?

what can i say? when you don't play the Frogs, I'm a fan. And I can live without the bigtime, I'm pretty happy with all the 10 win seasons.
