I am still curious as to why he was not on the sidelines last week. Or perhaps I missed him, but I did specifically look for him throughout the game.

Stallion, I noticed that but I mean, have you ever talked to this guy? He clearly has some speech impediments. He may do well in his studies privately but he definitely comes across differently in and off the field.

Have you ever played sports, mister? You have to be able to talk to people. It ain't like studying where you can put your nose in books for hours and be successful. It takes some interpersonal skills and an inability to communicate with others can hinder some of those skills.

I just wonder where speech really matters as a LB, someone else can make the calls he doesnt need to call plays or audibles like a QB, outside of QB and maybe center you could play FB as a mute

You still need to be able to talk to your coaches and players during practices and games. Having a speech impediment might get in the way of this because he may be too embarrassed about it to bother trying to talk to them when he needs to.

Well then maybe Mr. Alex Odiari needs to give Mr. Mike Davis a call and talk to him about how he dealt with the impediment.

Having an impediment or weakness or shortcoming is not a death knell. What it comes down to is how you deal with it. Odiari needs to learn how to deal with his problem, if that is in fact what is stopping him.

I'm sure at some point Mike Davis learned how to deal with his impediment.

Maybe the 30 pounds he added is the problem, I just hate the theory that he has speech issues so he is too dumb to play football. It is asinine. Hershel Walker also had a speech impediment.

Okay whoa yall kinda went with the speech impediment thing and RAN with it. He's just not very good at getting his point across because he stutters alot - however, this may just be the way he talks. I know somebody who really does have a diagnosed stuttering problem and they are not similar at all. I'm not sure what it is about him but it's very difficult to understand what he is trying to say sometimes. Oftentimes he has to clarify plays repeatedly and asks why such and such play does whatever. He is obviously trying to understand but it doesn't quite fall into place for him as easily as it does with the others.

If he had been with us last year, Tech might not have known we were going to have an all out blitz.

There was a deaf/dumb (mute) player a few years ago that I believe was an All American defensive lineman. At least was very good. You can play and be good without spending your off season on the lecture circuit.

from Crane, Texas as I recall. If it's the same guy, I think he also played for the Broncos in the NFL.
